On Saturday morning of the 40th class reunion,
a group of early rising classmates got together at Stockholm Inn
for breakfast. If you think of Stockholm as being located at 20th
street and Broadway, you're in for a surprise. It's now located
in Rockford Plaza. The hearty breakfast included (of course) Swedish
pancakes.
Following the breakfast, there was a tour
of East High, conducted by the principal, who was also a member
of the 1969 East High graduating class. The school has undergone
some changes, but is remarkably the same. Remember the smell of
the halls and the library? You'd be surprised that it's still the
same. There's
a new addition on the back of the school, and that's the only part
which is air-conditioned.
